Senior Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team at JMP Solutions in Canada. As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom automation solutions using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop custom automation solutions for various industries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements
- Perform engineering calculations to validate functionality and ensure solutions are feasible, robust, and reliable
- Develop 2D and 3D designs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Lead design reviews and communicate design direction to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain group to source and select major 3rd party technical vendors
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or software controls technology
- At least eight years of relevant work experience in mechanical design
- Proven leadership qualities and ability to motivate and develop team members
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and robotics
- Experience with 3D CAD design, 2D drawings, and on-the-floor equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- $35 - $55/hour
