About the Role

CIMA+, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural and Foundation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Civil-Structural group, you will be responsible for delivering innovative engineering solutions for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough structural inspections for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Design and develop equipment foundations and support structures, utilizing advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design.
  3. Make informed technical decisions with limited information, leveraging your expertise and experience.
  4. Estimate and prepare engineering proposals, effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Oversee projects to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  6. Approve and stamp project designs and reports, providing peer review and guidance to junior engineers.
  7. Represent CIMA+ and the engineering community in presentations and meetings, showcasing your expertise and professionalism.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  2. At least 7 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a strong background in structural and foundation engineering.
  3. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan.
  4. Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience and a working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
  5. Design experience in heavy industries, such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam, and Renewable Energy, with substation design experience being an asset.
  6. Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar software.
