Job Title: Family Support Worker

At The Children's Aid Society of the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing intensive and customized services to families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate visits between children and their family members to assess and enhance parental skills and capacities.
  • Assist in the development of goals for families participating in the Family Engagement and In-Home Support programs.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children.
  • Provide crisis management services and support the reintegration of children into their families.
  • Collaborate with community service providers and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and Ministry standards.
  • Good understanding of the agency's values, service philosophy, and objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Intersectionality, cultural competency, and clinical practice within an anti-oppression framework.
