About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Tamarind Indian Bistro. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports, to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, QuickBooks, and MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, organized, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
