About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at JD Accounting & Business Services. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 15 to 35 hours per week.
Preferred Skills
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and TaxPrep.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
