About the Role

Kleinschmidt is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing people, projects, and client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven or emerging leader to help our nationally known firm grow its presence in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline, complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in project management.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
