About the Role

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to lead our team in managing complex engineering design projects involving retrofits and rehabilitation efforts at existing dams and hydroelectric projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of large, multi-discipline, complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Requirements
  • Must possess a BS, BSc or BEng in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' experience within the structural engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in the field with clients and contractors during planning and construction of projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills to manage projects and clients.
  • Dam safety experience and design experience with dams or hydroelectric facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada and able to acquire authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
