About the Role

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing people, projects, and client relationships, with opportunities to work in a hybrid environment including office and remote settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large, multi-discipline, complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Must possess a BS, BSc, or BEng degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' experience within the structural engineering discipline.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer with experience working in the field with clients and contractors during planning and construction of projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working on and managing all aspects of large, multi-discipline, complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
