About the Role

Kleinschmidt is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing people, projects, and client relationships, with opportunities to work in a hybrid environment including office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large, multi-discipline, complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
  • Establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects, and maintaining high-quality client relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BS, BSc, or BEng) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in project management.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer with experience working in the field with clients and contractors during planning and construction of projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working on and managing all aspects of large, complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
