About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at SKY CONTRACTING INC. as a Construction Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry, from preparation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Carpentry and Joinery: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
