Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled User Experience Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our Design Research department, you will be responsible for conducting research studies to inform design decisions and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with service design directors, designers, and business stakeholders to understand and support their research needs.
  • Define research questions, create research approaches and participant recruitment plans, and select appropriate methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Conduct design research methods including observation/ethnography, diary studies, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, etc.
  • Analyze data using qualitative and quantitative approaches to make sense of the findings.
  • Translate research findings into easily understandable insights used to drive ideation and inform design.
  • Oversee research vendors carrying out studies on behalf of Design Research, as required.
  • Share areas of expertise within the Research team to support project and expand Research knowledge base and tools.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with User-Centered Design and Human Factors research methods.
  • Strong communications skills: written, oral, and graphical.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to balance tasks spanning multiple studies.
  • Knowledge of inferential statistics and familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) is an asset.
