About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UX Researcher to join our team at BeachHead Inc. as a key member of our Design Research department. As a UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in defining research questions, creating research approaches, and selecting appropriate methods of data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Research Design and Planning: Develop participant screeners, recruit participants from internal employee panels or external vendors, and create research protocols.
  2. Data Collection: Conduct design research methods, including observation, ethnography, diary studies, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, and other qualitative and quantitative approaches.
  3. Data Analysis: Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods to make sense of the collected data.
  4. Reporting and Insights: Translate findings into actionable insights used to drive ideation and inform design, in various formats, including experience maps, usability test reports, personas, and more.
  5. Vendor Oversight: As required, oversee research vendors carrying out studies on behalf of Design Research.
  6. Knowledge Sharing: Increase awareness of Design Research methods and processes with internal and external partners, and share expertise within the Research team to support projects and expand the Research knowledge base.
Desired Skill Set
  1. 3+ years of experience with Design Research Methodology.
  2. 3+ years of experience in visual storytelling skills with PowerPoint/presentation decks.
  3. 3+ years of experience in End-to-End project management.
  4. 3+ years of experience with multiple different research methodologies.
  5. 3+ years of experience in interacting with business stakeholders and requirements gathering.
  6. 3+ years of experience in leading the creation of major UX deliverables, high-level designs, and detailed user flows.
  7. Good understanding of user-centric design and related design disciplines.
  8. Executive-level communication skills.
