We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our Commercial Lines and Specialized Lines applications team. As a key member of our production support squad, you will be responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 production incidents support for all Intact Commercial Lines and Specialized Lines applications.
Key Responsibilities- Provides initial L2/L3 incidents triage, investigation, and ensures fast turnaround times on issue/incident resolution.
- Coordinates with CL/SL squads, IT, departmental leaders, and vendors to resolve complex issues/malfunctions.
- Defines and scopes the issue, analyzes problems/defects, and identifies root causes.
- Participates in defect fixes, conducts options analysis of potential solutions, and presents to team and management for decision/direction.
- Maintains in-depth working knowledge of the applications and user workflows, including multiple systems and interfaces.
- Supports deployment activities, manages implementation issues to resolution, and develops or supports development of a disaster recovery strategy and recovery plans.
- Identifies opportunities to strengthen the operational capability, such as sharing expertise, mentoring employees, and building communities of practice and networks across business and technology.
- 10+ years of experience in production support, including 3-5 years in a similar role.
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Strong Java knowledge, including Spring framework.
- Oracle - PL/SQL, Angular - TypeScript, and other technical skills listed in the job description.
