The Clinical Information Services Department requires a skilled Clerk Assistant to provide vital clerical support. This role involves answering department telephone calls, responding to requests from internal and external parties, and releasing patient information in support of clinical care.

You will also be responsible for scanning patient records, filing loose reports, retrieving and delivering patient records as needed, and assisting physicians with chart completion duties. Additionally, you will assemble and label patient charts, review and distribute incoming faxes, and perform other duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to prioritize workload effectively, and function independently in a busy environment. You should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and have experience using patient-related databases.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working in a comparable position, hold an office administration diploma or equivalent, and possess medical terminology certification or equivalent experience. A typing speed of at least 30 wpm is required, along with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary of $25.35 to $31.55 per hour, Monday through Friday, 7.5-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that hours are subject to change based on operational requirements.
