About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the National Director, Cleantech. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and execution of our cleantech strategy across Canada, working closely with key partners and stakeholders to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and execute new program models that enable revenue streams for various business lines, leveraging expertise in clean technology and innovation.
  • Develop and conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate cleantech investment opportunities, mitigating associated risks and maximizing opportunities for growth.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advocate for clean technology within the banking industry, influencing key stakeholders and driving policy changes to support sustainable initiatives.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, research institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to advance clean technology solutions and drive impactful change.
  • Actively participate in the cleantech ecosystem to remain at the forefront of market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead business development activities and manage a portfolio of strategic client relationships, driving growth and profitability.
  • Support, mentor, and coach regional cleantech champions to understand the market, client approach, and deliver on the strategic vision.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus in business, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, sustainability, or a related area.
  • 5+ years of experience in clean technology and innovation, with a strong understanding of the cleantech ecosystem and the unique challenges of scaling a cleantech business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead change within a team environment.
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills to interact across all levels of the organization and external sectors with impact and influence.
  • Business development experience and strong client relationship management skills.
