The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 CAD, based on industry standards and location in Ottawa, ON.

About the Role
  • You will join our Technical Publications team as a technical writer, collaborating with other team members and groups to develop technical documentation.
  • Your tasks will include authoring procedures and maintenance documentation, performing impact analyses, and converting legacy data into Lockheed Martin's structured XML format.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to write clear and concise instructions, and to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in a technical field (engineering, computer science, etc.) or in technical writing or technical communication.
  • Basic knowledge of technical writing rules and style.
  • Able to work productively in individual and team environments.
  • NATO Secret clearance eligibility.
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with XML and software used for XML authoring.
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings, bill of materials, and test specifications.
  • Adaptable to new software and learning new processes.
