Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Pizza Delight. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high standards of quality and service.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a strong background in restaurant operations. You should be highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure that all staff adhere to company uniform standards;
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards;
  • Manage budgets and finances, including bank deposits and petty cash;
  • Plan and prepare orders, and ensure that they are executed efficiently;
  • Deal with guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Work effectively during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays;
  • Develop and implement plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs;
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, including new hires and current employees;
  • Ensure that all staff receive regular training and development opportunities;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve operational performance;
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives;
  • Be flexible and adaptable, and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of education and experience, including:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • 1-2 years experience as a team leader in a dining room or kitchen, or in a management position in a retail operation;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams;
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions;
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to emergencies.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. You will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Overtime may be required from time to time. You must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan. You will also receive a generous meal allowance and discounts on food purchases.
