Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as a Learning Coach, Intercultural and English Language Specialist. This critical role plays a vital part in supporting the academic success of our students, particularly those from international backgrounds and English as an additional language learners.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, organize, and analyze information about learners to advise students towards academic achievements.
- Provide individual academic coaching tailored to specific student needs.
- Assist with writing and presentation skills.
- Design and facilitate college skills group sessions to support academic success.
- Deliver relevant supplemental English language skills bridging.
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as Education, International Relations, Social Sciences, or Counseling. You will also need at least 5 years of relevant work experience within the field, including experience working with international students and supporting English as an additional language. International experience and proficiency in a second language are considered assets.
