**About the Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation**
The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology serves students, faculty and staff in the following areas: Accessibility Services and Student Academic Support, Learning Commons (including the Library and Service Desk), Educational Development (including program and curriculum support, instructional support, professional development, Work Integrated Learning academic support, and Research and Scholarly Activity), Moodle and Google training and support, The Studio video production services, and the MakerSpace.

**Purpose of Position**:
**Key Job Functions**:
The Librarian role focuses on two parts: managing the traditional parts of an academic library and collaborating on diverse projects within TLCI and beyond, bringing library services to those projects where there is a fit and innovating to create synergies with the academic schools, the Olds College Centre for Innovation (OCCI), Chinook’s Edge School Division and others.
- Library System Management_
- Lead the collections development and maintenance of the Library resources, with special attention to digital resources.
- Manage Library acquisitions budget.
- Manage the library services platform including monitoring usage, leading communications and negotiating agreements with vendor(s).
- Represent Olds College with external groups and consortium partners such as NEOS, The Alberta Library (TAL) and other post-secondary institution library counterparts.
- Provide statistical analysis of resource utilization to the Manager, Faculty Support & Resources and the Library teams on a regular schedule to inform decision-making.
- Curate program-specific research guides.
- Student and Faculty Academic Support_
- Lead the development of the Learning Commons into a vibrant student-centered environment, that is dynamic, collaborative, and focused on student engagement, and success.
- Manage, coordinate, communicate and assess appropriate student information literacy and research strategies.
- Design and lead a scope and sequence for programming specific to research skills and information literacy skills for learners in high school through degree level programs.
- Create, implement, market, and manage information literacy programs that support students in achieving academic success, based on data assessment and demand.
- Promote library research services and resources to students, faculty and teachers.
- Makes decisions with the students in mind, focusing on providing the best possible student experience.
- Research and remain current with relevant scholarly information on learning and study skills.

- Assume a leadership role in the development of the Olds College Library vision, initiating and facilitating the opportunities for connecting instructors, teachers, and students in engaging in cross-grade, cross-curricular collaborative opportunities.
- Collaborate with Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation team members, leadership teams and faculty to determine pedagogically sound approaches to student experiences.
- Ensure dynamic integration of technology into students’ learning toolkit.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with leadership, faculty, instructional staff, TLCI team, and Ecole Olds High School teachers.
- Provide research support and leadership within the Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation including development, maintenance and compliance of relevant policies and procedures.
- Actively promotes equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the campus and our communities and serves as a real ally to all.
