The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation
The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology supports students, faculty, and staff in various areas, including Accessibility Services and Student Academic Support, Learning Commons, Educational Development, Moodle and Google training, The Studio video production services, and the MakerSpace.
The Opportunity - Contract Tutor, Math Generalist
We are seeking a contract tutor to provide academic support to Olds College students in the Learning Commons during the 2024/2025 academic year. The successful candidate will facilitate student learning in one-on-one and small group settings, with a focus on Statistics and Applied Math. The tutor will also be responsible for data recording and reporting as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate student learning in one-on-one and small group settings
- Provide academic support in Statistics and Applied Math
- Record and report data as assigned
Requirements
- Baccalaureate or Diploma in a related discipline
- Tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite of apps
