Key Responsibilities:- Administer semi-monthly payroll with 100% accuracy using Dayforce.
- Compile pay-related reports, statements, and summaries for payroll processing.
- Save payroll reports electronically and interpret company policies for payroll inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario and Manitoba legislation for minimum standards.
- Report monthly WSIB and HET payments for Ontario and Manitoba.
- Work with Dayforce representatives for process improvements.
- Complete year-end remittances for WSIB, WCB, EHT, and HET by required deadlines.
- Process year-end tax forms, including T4 distribution and T2200 creation.
- Maintain employee optional benefits, including RRSP, Critical Illness Insurance, and Optional Life Insurance.
- Coordinate with the auditing team for payroll audit tests and verification.
- Research and present information on new legislation affecting payroll processing.
- Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Issue ROEs and manual payments as required.
- Monitor and analyze controllable payroll charges.
- Support employees and managers with payroll-related questions.
- Provide payroll records for government agencies or financial auditors.
- Develop and execute Wellness programs for Lakeside locations.
- University degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2-5 years of payroll experience.
- PCP Certification or working towards certification.
- Proficient in MS Office and PDF Exchange.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
