Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Administration: Accurately and efficiently administer semi-monthly payroll with 100% accuracy, compile pay-related reports, and save all payroll reports electronically.
  • Benefits Administration: Register employees for benefits, provide benefits cards, terminate employee benefits coverage, and answer employee questions regarding plan coverage.
  • HR Support: Monitor HR inboxes, meet minutes for HR team meetings, create surveys, coordinate meetings and events, and scan and photocopy documents.
  • Payroll and Benefits Expertise: Interpret Lakeside's policies and apply to payroll-related inquiries or tasks, interpret Ontario and Manitoba legislation, and report monthly WSIB and HET payments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Research various topics to determine best practices and new methods for improving HR programs and initiatives, support recruitment when required, and assist with other projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Human Resources or University Degree with Post-Graduate studies in Human Resources
  • Two to Five (2-5) years' of Payroll experience
  • PC P Certification or working towards certification
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PDF Exchange)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong ability to multi-task and time manage
  • Well-developed communication skills (written and oral)
