Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Receptionist to join our team at Canada's Best Value Inn. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, processing arrivals and departures, and handling room reservations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Register arriving guests in a friendly and efficient manner
    • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring timely and accurate check-in and check-out
    • Take, cancel, and change room reservations, ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, such as dining, fitness, and amenities
    • Offer general information about local points of interest, attractions, and events
    • Process guests' departures, handle payments, and resolve any issues that may arise
    • Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of guests and staff
    • Perform clerical duties, such as data entry and filing
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to staff and guests
    • Assist guests with special needs, providing personalized support and services
    • Deliver wake-up calls to guests, ensuring timely departures
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests
  • Support Services:
    • Assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, providing a warm welcome to our community
    • Provide awareness training to employees on creating a welcoming work environment for youth
    • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, fostering mutual understanding and respect
    • Offer diversity and cross-cultural training to employees, promoting a welcoming and inclusive work environment

Work Details: This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. A secondary school graduation certificate is required, and experience in a similar role is an asset.
