Key Responsibilities
- To manage and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support personnel;
- To oversee the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards;
- To maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-maintained;
- To train and develop kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively;
- To maintain a fast-paced and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard;
- To inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly, identifying any areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary;
- To collaborate with other departments, including front-of-house and management, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with a focus on delivering exceptional results;
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure;
- The ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
