We are the platform of the BAZ group; a Real Estate company that strategically acquires, develops, constructs, and repositions assets throughout North America.

**Job Description**

The Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the physical condition of our Retirement communities is maintained to reflect the Spring Living brand and standards. This includes ensuring resident satisfaction, employee safety, and minimizing Health & Safety risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all work areas and essential equipment as part of ongoing safety and fire protection programs
  • Manage specialized building automation systems, fire safety equipment, call boxes, emergency shut-offs, etc.
  • Maintain facilities and grounds in 'showcase' condition at all times
  • Select, train, develop, engage, and manage performance of Environmental and Housekeeping staff
  • Manage department budget and support community capital budget process
  • Manage room refresh process to achieve maximum cost effectiveness and occupancy targets
  • Manage external vendor contracts with respect to service and cost

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the senior living industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and health and safety regulations

**Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.

**Location**

This role is based in Kitchener, ON, with regular travel to other locations required.
