Cleaning Supervisor Job Description

At Choice Projects LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning staff, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that cleaning activities are coordinated and aligned with their needs.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for the cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities to support the development of our cleaning staff, including those with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
