We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead IT Application Specialist to join our team at Geotab Inc. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining our critical enterprise IT applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive technical projects and act as an escalation point for complex application issues
- Mentor other IT Applications Specialists and contribute to the development of the team
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and implement best practices
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain applications and service requirements
- Oversee and resolve complex IT Application issues
- Provide technical support for Application Support escalations
- Create and maintain documentation for configuration, processes, and procedures
- 7+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms, container runtimes, and container orchestration tools
- 5+ years of experience with GitOps using platforms like Flux, ArgoCD, and Helm
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD design and infrastructure, on GitLab
- Advanced administrative knowledge of GitLab in a self-hosted distributed environment
- Advanced knowledge of SSO methodologies and Centralized Identity and Management systems
- Expert in managing and supporting Linux-based environments
- Strong programming/scripting knowledge and an automation first mentality
- Excellent client-facing skills and communication
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, including Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture
