ComForCare North York Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at ComForCare North York. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and respite services to our clients, helping them live their best lives possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide companionship and respite services to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication reminders, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with household management tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
  • Support clients with physical and mental exercise routines, and encourage their use of meditation courses.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest level of care and support for our clients.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker course.
  • At least six months experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Ability to do light-cleaning and lifting (transferring clients, repositioning, and laundry).
  • Ability to speak another language is an asset.
  • Obtained Food Handler's Certificate and able to cook well-balanced meals is an asset.
