We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at ComForCare North York. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide companionship and respite services to clients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, including household management, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Support clients with their daily routines, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Encourage social interaction and engagement, promoting a sense of community and connection.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the client's physical and emotional safety.
- Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker course.
- At least six months of experience as a Caregiver (in homes or facilities).
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
- Ability to do light-cleaning and lifting (transferring clients, repositioning, and laundry).
- Ability to speak another language is an asset.
- Obtained Food Handler's Certificate and able to cook well-balanced meals is an asset.
- Driver's License (G) is an asset.
