Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Medical Care Specialist. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to patients in their homes and other settings
  • Manage diabetes, dialysis, IV medications, IV/CVAD care, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy living and disease management

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
