Cleaner Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cleaner Supervisor to join our team at Clean Up Friends. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Cleaning Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain a clean and safe environment, such as painting, repair work, or renovations.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records for cleaning operations, including expenses, revenues, and inventory management.
  • Assist Cleaners in Performing Duties: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure adequate coverage and minimize overtime.
Support for Persons with Disabilities:
  • Physical Accessibility Accommodations: Ensure that our facilities are accessible to employees and clients with physical disabilities, including the provision of ramps, elevators, and other necessary accommodations.
  • Visual Accessibility Accommodations: Provide visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille, screen readers, and other assistive technologies, to support employees and clients with visual impairments.
  • Auditory Accessibility Accommodations: Provide auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software, teletypewriters, and other assistive technologies, to support employees and clients with hearing impairments.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees.
  • Assist with Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Support Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
Support for Youths:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment and development.
  • Offer On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to support the development of youth employees.
Support for Veterans:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support the transition and integration of veterans into the civilian workforce.
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities to support the transition and integration of veterans into the civilian workforce.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support the development and well-being of Indigenous people.
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities to support the development and well-being of Indigenous employees.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support the development and well-being of mature workers.
