Job Overview:
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is seeking a highly skilled Financial Regulatory Compliance Expert to join our Enterprise Risk, Regulatory Capital Governance & Oversight team. This key role will play a crucial part in the efficient management and coordination of RBC's annual Self-Assessment Process (SAP).

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) and other jurisdictions deemed in scope in the area of regulatory capital and reporting. They will also monitor the scope of applicable requirements across RBC and provide review and effective challenge in coordinating compliance assessment reviews.

Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, setting up, and executing the Bank's OSFI Self-Assessment Process (SAP) across selected risk types (Credit, Market and/or Counterparty Credit Risk).
- Manage relationships with 1st & 2nd line partners; help business colleagues and partners understand the OSFI Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) and expectations regarding the SAP process.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Enterprise Policy on Self-Assessment Processes and Procedures for Maintaining the Self-Assessment Process.
- Prepare or assist in developing presentations and other material for senior management and regulators.
- Effectively manage the SAP Tool to support adherence with OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements and other regulatory requirements applicable, making recommendations to improve and automate processes.
- Work with stakeholders to increase adoption rates on the SAP Tool by providing change management support, including facilitating training sessions.

Requirements:
- Working knowledge of OSFI's Capital Adequacy Requirements.
- Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Comfortable challenging the nature and quality of assessments provided by colleagues throughout RBC.
- Superior impact and influence skills with a proven track record of building strong relationships.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to grasp both the big picture and have rigorous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry best-practices on self-assessments against regulatory capital model guidelines.
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services sector.

Estimated Salary Range: CAD $120,000 - CAD $160,000 per annum.
