Surveillance Operator

This role is part of the Surveillance team at Great Canadian Entertainment. The Surveillance Operator - Part Time will be responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property using closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support the learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, document, and report on violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded and self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access
- Maintain logs and records, storing them for evidence purposes
- Monitor, document, and report on conditions of surveillance facilities and equipment
- Communicate effectively with operational departments
- Build strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in security or surveillance is an asset
- Responsible Liquor Service Certification (Serving it Right Certification)
- Computer proficiency
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to focus on monitors for long periods of time
- Adherence to high standards, methods, and procedures
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
