Job Summary

Thales is seeking an experienced IT Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a key member of our National Digital Excellence Centre Canada (NDEC Canada), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN. You will work closely with our Network and Security team to ensure reliable connectivity and implement network security protocols and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
  • Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Work with the Network and Security team to ensure reliable connectivity and implement network security protocols and policies.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network operation.
  • Implement and enforce network security protocols and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on servers and network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (Windows and Linux), experience with Virtualization systems (VMware, Hyper-V), and experience with cloud computing platforms (Google, AWS, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience in building, troubleshooting, integration and configuration, testing, cabling, and network electronics systems.
  • Experience in server and network monitoring.
