Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Thales. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure for our Cyber Range and Cyber Security Operations Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Management
    • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
    • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewall.
    • Work in collaboration with our Network and Security team to ensure reliable connectivity.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Server Management
    • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of servers.
    • Manage server hardware, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
    • Ensure server backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and effective.
    • Monitor server performance and optimize as necessary.
  • General IT Management
    • Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure and procedures.
    • Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and support.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to staff as needed.
  • Interaction with Customers and Partners
    • Lead technical workshops to support risk assessments activities (IT, OT, IoT).
    • Coordinate and support customer's project team, site engineers, and management with project deliverables.
    • Support live Cyber training exercises and simulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on servers and network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical drawings, and technical documents.
  • Hands-on experience in building, troubleshooting, integration, and configuration, and testing, cabling, network, and electronics systems.
  • Experience in server and network monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (Windows and Linux), experience with Virtualization systems (VMware, Hyper-V), and experience with cloud computing platforms (Google, AWS, Azure).
