Job Title: IT Network Infrastructure Engineer

Thales is seeking an experienced IT Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our National Digital Excellence Centre Canada (NDEC Canada) team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN
  • Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Work collaboratively with the Thales Network and Security team
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable connectivity
  • Implement and enforce network security protocols and policies
  • Manage server hardware, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Monitor server performance and optimize as necessary
  • Support new integrations of various technologies into the Cyber Range infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure and procedures
  • Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on servers and network infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and technical documents
  • Hands-on experience in building, troubleshooting, integration and configuration, testing, cabling, and network electronics systems
  • Experience in server and network monitoring
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (Windows and Linux), experience with Virtualization systems (VMware, Hyper-V), and experience with cloud computing platforms (Google, AWS, Azure)
