About the Opportunity

The Department of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full-time academic Rheumatologist to join their team.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, accomplished general rheumatologist whose clinical and scholarly areas of interest/expertise align with the divisional requirements. The successful candidate will have an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent clinical care in the outpatient setting and the inpatient consultation service
  • Contribute to rheumatology on-call coverage
  • Engage in rheumatology educational programs and learner supervision at all levels at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto
  • Lead or collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). A graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization is also required.
