The Speech Specialists Canada is a leading provider of private in-home speech therapy services in Southern Ontario. Our team of experienced Speech Language Pathologists, Speech Language Associates, Behavioural Therapists, and Occupational Therapists are dedicated to providing individualized and comprehensive assessments and treatment programs for our clients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. As a Communicative Disorders Assistant, you will work under the guidance and supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy to individuals of various ages and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Work with clients from diverse backgrounds and specialized populations.
- Collaborate and consult with Speech Language Pathologists and other practitioners.
- Develop and implement therapy materials as needed.
- Provide families with resources, information, and home programs.
- Assist with parent and client workshops.
- Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to remain current.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant Program.
- Member of CDAAC.
- Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
