Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Whitby, ON and Durham Region. The successful candidate will provide assessments, consultations, and speech therapy to clients in their homes, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments, including speech, language, and cognitive communication evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with clients and their families
  • Supervise Communicative Disorders Assistants providing therapy
  • Provide therapy to clients of various ages, including children, adults, and rehab patients
  • Collaborate with other SLPs and interdisciplinary practitioners to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide families with resources, information, and home programs to support ongoing therapy
  • Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to stay current in the field

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registration in the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Experience with developmental disorders an asset
  • Superior interpersonal skills, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel
  • Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills
