Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Whitby, ON and Durham Region. As a Speech Language Pathologist with our company, you will have the opportunity to work with clients of various ages and backgrounds, providing assessments, consultations, and speech therapy services in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments, including speech, language, and cognitive communication evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Supervise Communicative Disorders Assistants providing therapy services
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to clients of various ages, including children, adults, and rehabilitation patients
  • Collaborate with other Speech Language Pathologists and interdisciplinary practitioners to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide families with resources, information, and home programs to support their loved ones
  • Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to stay current in the field

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Experience with developmental disorders an asset
  • Superior interpersonal skills, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel
  • Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills
