Railcar Repair Supervisor Job Description

Petroleum Service Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Railcar Repair Supervisor to lead our railcar repair team in Ontario, Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and productive operations in accordance with AAR, FRA, and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of dedicated railcar repair technicians to safely work around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks.
  • Review AAR Circular Letters, Maintenance Advisories, and Early Warning Letters, and communicate with all affected employees.
  • Train, support, and enforce all employees to meet company and customer safety policies.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and job briefings with mobile repair employees.
  • Assist in scheduling jobs based on employee experience.
  • Facilitate customer, AAR, and FRA compliance audits.
  • Provide information and advice to senior management on matters relating to safe and quality repair operations.
  • Participate in customer on-site safety programs.
  • Collaborate with field employees and customers to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies.
  • Seek new business opportunities and work to expand operations as appropriate.
  • Identify future leaders and create individual employee development plans.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations with field employees.
  • Lead, monitor, and train on railcar repairs.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a leadership role involving railcar repair operations, safety, and training.
  • Knowledge and experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) or railcar repair.
