Health Care Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their homes, enabling them to live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily tasks and self-care activities, promoting their overall well-being and dignity.
- Provide companionship and support to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing, and support with basic activities of daily living.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal-time, ensuring patients receive the nutrition they need to maintain their health.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a recognized HCA program approved by the Government of Alberta.
- Ability to work every other weekend and pass a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
- Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset, but not necessary.
- Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset.
- Compassion, listening skills, and a passion for making a difference in your community.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
