Health Care Assistant

Your Opportunity:
As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care by providing essential services that promote the physical and emotional well-being of our patients. You will work collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary care team, performing tasks necessary to support the comfort and safety of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care, and mobility needs
- Support patients with health care tasks and procedures as necessary
- Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide personalized care and support
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide Course (or equivalent)
- Medical Terminology course completion
- Current BCLS-HCP certification from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related experience in medicine
