Health Care Assistant

About the Role:
As a Health Care Aide with ParaMed Home Health Care, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their homes, enabling them to live safely and independently. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily tasks and self-care activities, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and assist with mealtime
- Perform basic housekeeping duties
- Provide companionship and support to clients
- Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing
- Support clients with basic activities of daily living
Requirements:
- Graduate from a HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta
- Willingness to visit clients' residences within a designated area
- Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
- Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset
- Compassion and listening skills
- Passion for making a difference in your community
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire
