About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Director(s) of the organization. As a key member of the executive team, this individual will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Director's office, establishing administrative procedures and guidelines, and acting as a liaison with executive assistants and administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a post-secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or secretarial program, and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare and an integrated service model. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills, as well as advanced skills and abilities in modern office practices and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director(s) and executive team
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Director's office
  • Establish administrative procedures and guidelines
  • Act as a liaison with executive assistants and administrative assistants
  • Support assigned networks, individuals, committees, or working groups
  • Provide support to other members of policy and planning
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or secretarial program
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support and office coordination
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills
  • Advanced skills and abilities in modern office practices and technology
