About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information, and participating in the development of effective corrective action plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Performing, interpreting, and releasing test results while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement
  • Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology to enhance laboratory operations
  • Participating in problem-solving and workflow optimization initiatives
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Good computer skills and knowledge to support laboratory operations
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow up on issues
  • Ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality
