Salary Information

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities

Main Job Duties:

  • To perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
  • To maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, some electrical, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
  • To perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • To respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies.
  • To prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.
  • To study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.

Requirements

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification from a certified college.
  • An HVAC Certificate of Qualification is required. 313A license or provincial equivalent. Interprovincial/Red Seal Certification is an asset.
  • A Gasfitter I or II certification is required or Provincial equivalent.
  • A Canadian ODP Certification.
  • The candidate must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged and built-up HVAC systems, plumbing electrical equipment repair and maintenance and overall building system design and application.
