Healthcare Leader for Perinatal and Women's Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Leader to join our team as a Senior Practice Leader in Perinatal and Women's Health at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in the field of perinatal and women's health, promoting excellence in nursing practice and quality of patient care. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for advancing knowledge creation and uptake, engaging in current research and evidence-based practice standards, and addressing professional, program, and patient problems and concerns.
You will work closely with community/public health organizations and practitioners throughout BC, consulting, advising, organizing, and providing provincial neonatal/perinatal/women's health education programs in partnership with other care providers. This role requires strong leadership, facilitation, and mentoring skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities- Consult internally and externally on perinatal and women's health matters, advancing knowledge creation and uptake through engagement in or support of current research and evidence-based practice standards.
- Advise senior leaders, physicians, nurses, and other providers across and beyond the organization on issues related to perinatal and women's health care, promoting optimum and effective resource allocation.
- Promote and advance the implementation of relevant evidenced-based practice and share knowledge about current research and literature, including innovation in practice, complications of pregnancy, and management of complex situations.
- Establish opportunities to support staff in implementing evidence-based practice, participate in clinical research endeavors, promote, and advance best practice through publications, presentations, and conferences.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs based on ongoing needs assessment, in collaboration with educators and other professional staff.
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field and five (5) years recent experience in progressively senior leadership positions or advanced practice roles.
- Eligibility for registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) and current certification in CPR.
- Certification relevant to the program area such as Neonatal Specialty Nursing Certificate or a CNA Certification in Perinatal Nursing is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and clinical experience in neonatal/perinatal nursing and/or women's health, experience in teaching and program development, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The estimated salary for this position is between $120,000 to $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
