Nurse Supervisor Opportunity in Perinatal Care

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Leader to join our team as a Registered Nurse Leader in the Labour Delivery department at BC Women's Hospital. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of $115,000 - $137,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource to coordinate staffing coverage and provide supervision, guidance, and expert clinical support to nursing and support staff within the Acute Perinatal Program.
- Monitor hospital utilization by overseeing activity within different areas of the program through regular unit-based rounds and coordinate the use of staff based on utilization and resource requirements.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and initiate maintenance requests as required, ensuring equipment availability for the program.
- Maintain a safe environment for women, families, and staff by following established emergency procedures and safety practices.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Five years of recent perinatal experience, including a minimum of one year's recent related experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current CPR/NRP certification and Fetal Health Assessment certification (BCWH or equivalent).
