Job Summary
The Senior Practice Leader is a key leadership position at BC Women's Hospital, responsible for promoting excellence in nursing practice and quality of patient care. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal/perinatal nursing and women's health, with experience in teaching and program development. They will be responsible for consulting with internal and external stakeholders, advising senior leadership, and developing and implementing education programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement education programs
- Advise senior leadership on issues related to neonatal/perinatal women's health care
- Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing or related field
- 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or advanced practice roles
- Eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives
- Certification in CPR
- Experience in teaching and program development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and facilitation skills
